Video #2 Navigating in VIM – Part 1

Navigation In VIM- Part 1 – Moving around a file in VIM is done using keys and key combinations as once cannot use mouse for navigation.

How: – Must be in normal mode – key / keys combo

Types:
1- Basic
– h(left), j(down), k(up) , l(right)
– ctrl+d(down) / ctrl+u(up)

2- Word
– w(forward) & b(backward) – Start of word
– e(forward) & ge(backward) – End of word

3- Line
– $ ( end of line)
– ^ ( start of line, non empty first char)
– 0(zero) (start of line)
